Overview
Aleman Minervini Corp. is a Miami-based architecture and structural engineering firm with 15+ years of experience across Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Their previous site was generic — no conversion logic, no urgency, nothing that communicated why a condo board should call them instead of a competitor. I redesigned it from the ground up: 9-section home, curated portfolio, and a full bilingual experience in English and Spanish.
The Challenge
"How do you make a structural engineering firm feel premium enough to justify higher fees — without losing the trust signals that engineering clients look for?"
Florida's SB 4-D law created real urgency for condo associations: mandatory structural inspections with steep fines for non-compliance. The firm had the expertise and track record, but their site didn't show it. The brief had 45 pages and 16 sections. My job was to distill it into something a building manager would actually read — and act on.
The Approach
Strategy: Credibility Before Conversion
I mapped a 9-section architecture where every section had one job. The sequence was designed to move a skeptical decision-maker from "I've never heard of them" to "I need to call them today."
Key Design Decisions

Dark Premium Hero
The previous site had a generic template feel. I led with a full-bleed photorealistic render — the elevator lobby of Sea Ranch Club — to immediately signal 'high-end architecture,' not just 'we do construction.'

3D Walkthrough Embed
Instead of photo galleries, I embedded a live Digital Spaces 3D walkthrough. For a firm selling structural inspection services, letting prospects virtually walk a building is the most credible demo possible.

Urgency Without Fear
Florida SB 4-D creates real urgency for condo owners. The copy was crafted to inform — exact fines, deadlines, legal exposure — without tipping into fear-based tactics. The tone: 'we know this better than anyone, let us guide you.'
Built with AI — Lovable + Claude Code
The site was built in Lovable and synced to GitHub via Claude Code for precise component-level edits, custom i18n logic, and animation control that Lovable's UI alone can't handle. The bilingual EN/ES system was implemented with a custom context-based locale switcher — no third-party i18n library.
"Lovable handles the visual iteration speed. Claude Code handles the precision work — routing, i18n context, animation variants. Together they let me ship a site at this level of complexity without a dev team."

What I Learned
- •A 45-page brief is not a spec — it's raw material. The real design work is distilling 16 sections into 9, and knowing what to cut.
- •For engineering firms, credibility and urgency are not opposites. You can create urgency (SB 4-D deadlines are real) without making prospects feel manipulated — as long as the information is accurate and the tone stays authoritative.
- •Bilingual UX is not translation. Spanish-speaking clients in Miami often have different trust signals — WhatsApp over email, community credibility over national certifications. The design has to reflect that.
